About Dr Yasser Al-Raweshidy

Dr Yasser Al-Raweshidy qualified from Imperial College School of Medicine (ICSM) in 2008, having previously obtained an intercalated degree in Respiratory Sciences in 2005 (also from ICSM). He undertook his specialty training in acute medicine and intensive care in London, before being appointed as consultant in 2020. He is a consultant in both intensive care and acute internal medicine at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. The intensive care unit where he currently works is a regional tertiary centre for neurosciences.

Dr Al-Raweshidy is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP) and Fellow of the Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine (FFICM). Dr Al-Raweshidy is a highly motivated and experienced educator. He is a FUSIC (Echocardiography) mentor and has been the Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine tutor for Charing Cross Hospital in the very recent past. Currently, he is the Director for Clinical Studies at Charing Cross Hospital and is a principal clinical teacher for ICSM. Additionally, he holds the postnominals AFHEA (Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy). Dr Al-Raweshidy serves as a council member for the critical care section of the Royal Society of Medicine.
